The Madrakia tavern is located right by the harbor of Agios Nikolaos. The owner of the house catches fresh fish every day and the family runs the trendy harbor tavern.
However, the port has nothing to offer in terms of tourism.

Fish and lobster are weighed. Fresh fish is of course never cheap and shouldn't be. There are also other rustic dishes.
Our tip:
In the evening at sunset, the bay is bathed in a beautiful violet light. If you are on the northern tour or on the way back from the shipwreck, this is the right place for you.
Don't forget your mosquito spray. It's buzzing at the sea!
The port has little to offer tourists. There are many ticket sellers for boat tours. From there you can take the large ferry to the neighboring island of Kefalonia.
